I refer to your above post on the TNB tariff hike. With respect, I disagree with your contention that had this announcement been made before the Sarawak elections, it would have had a devastating effect on the electorate. It must be remembered that the electricity board in Sarawak is different from that of Peninsular Malaysia, ie. our electricity board is SESCO (Sarawak Electricity Supply Corporation) and not TNB. Therefore, IMHO, the TNB tariff hike wouldn't have figured much in the mind of the Sarawakian voters as compared to issues local to Kuching and/or Sarawak eg. land lease etc.</description>
