This is a grievous misconstrual for effectively excludes and marginalises the other races, including the Sabahans and Sarawakians from assuming equal political status, grounded as it is in the self-consciousness of the Malays *not* as Malaysians but as Malays. Thus, genuine nation-building is impeded and national unity as a successful policy and programme through the propagation of unifying principles and revolving pillars is diminished; rather enforcement must come by threats and intimidation. The waving of the kris by Hishamuddin "kurang ajar" Hussein and Khairy "kurang ajar" Jamaluddin and the self-conceited concept of so-called "ketuanan Melayu" is living proof of the style of nation-building in Malaysia. Jadi, kita mempertikaikan keikhlasan Mahathir, umpamanya, apabila beliau mengkritk pemikiran golongan Melayu yang bercondongkan kepada bantuan kerajaan yang berasaskan konsep diskriminasi selama-lamanya. What the BN should come up with "affirmative action" not on the basis of race but social background. The NEP and the present system are untenable, morally, politically and economically. Melayu itu bukan setakat Melayu sahaja, malah Melayu *Malaysia* (just like Melayu Singapura), even as the Chinese and Indians here are Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indian, respectively. The issue of the "one and many", i.e. one country and citizenship with many races and cultures can only be solved if the "ketuanan Melayu" (or "master race") is destroyed, and race subordinated to culture as the all-encompassing term with the emergence of the Bangsa Malaysia as the definitive equivalence of Malaysian citizenship. Ya, memang benar, the number 1 enemy of national unity is Umno. Dan satu hari nanti, Umno kena (no escape) accountable for its actions. The guilt is all the more compounded because there is an alternative, but no ethical will to do that which is good and right. Let Justice be done or the Heavens fall ... Justice shall be done vindicated or Justice is no Justice at all...
