Parliament resumes its Budget sitting today with the debate moving into the Committee Stage.Over the next two days, the Prime Minister’s Department will come under scrutiny.

Kit Siang started the debate and took to task the EPU over its methodology on the bumi equity.

Strange enough, the House was very quiet. Many Umno MPs began leaving their seats and the few who stayed behind did not bother Kit Siang at all. Over the past two and a half years, most Umno MPs have learned an important lesson, which is “disturb Kit Siang at one’s peril.”

Kit Siang used the clear passage to demolish the EPU’s methology and hope that tomorrow the Minister would be able to defend the EPU over the NEP and bumi equity.
